Introduction to Sintered Mullite
Mulite (3Al₂O₃·2SiO₂) is a silicate mineral with stable structure and excellent performance. As a basic refractory material, sintered bauxite-grade mullite is widely used in medium and high-temperature industries. Made from main raw materials such as bauxite, kaolin, and coal gangue through high-temperature sintering, it not only has relatively low impurity content and high mullite phase proportion but also offers higher cost-effectiveness. It is an ideal raw material for refractory materials in industries such as iron and steel metallurgy, ceramics, building materials, chemical industry, and foundry. It is classified into multiple grades including M47, M60, and M70 based on alumina content.
