Product Introduction
One of the three refractory raw materials for high alumina, it has a low expansion rate (3-5%) and a moderate reaction rate of mullite. It is used for long-life low creep value bricks and as a thermal expansion agent for castables.
Andalusite is one of the minerals in the blue crystal group, usually with columnar crystals, island shaped structures, and nearly square cross-sections. Color: pink, reddish brown or gray white, with a glassy luster, relative hardness of 6-7.5, and a bulk density of 3.1-3.2 g/cm³
Product Specifications
0–1 mm, 1–3 mm, 200 mesh (can be processed according to special user requirements)
Application Fields
Ceramic materials, refractories, foundry materials, silicon-aluminum alloys, crucibles and kiln furniture, precision casting, insulators, and decorative materials.
Product Characteristics
Natural crystalline raw material with high refractoriness;
High mechanical strength at elevated temperatures;
Excellent high-temperature volume stability, creep resistance, slag resistance, and acid/alkali resistance;
Superior thermal shock stability.
