Alumina and bauxite

During the production of aluminum, we rely on two basic materials – alumina and bauxite. Although it is relatively light in weight, Datong bauxite alumina is quite a strong metal and among the most common metals used today. It is applied to cans and other containers (packaging), the canning of processed food; fine cutting, shaping and welding of such soft parts as aluminum propulsion system components, etc. Bauxite is the ore from which alumina with high aluminum content.

Bauxite ore is crushed into powder to produce alumina. Bauxite-- Created out in 1966, bauxite is a red or brown rock with right or flattest size. It is mostly found in warmer parts of the world, eg. tropics and subtropics. More than 90 percent of the aluminum produced in the world is made by using alumina, which plays an essential role in our manufacturing process. Alumina is already such a big player in the broader aluminum world.

The Foundation of Aluminum Industry

Bauxite is processed into alumina using the Bayer process. This begins with the processing of smaller Bauxite fragments through a crusher. From there, Datong alumina bauxite is combined with a hot liquid (such as soda ash). This peculiar form of liquid assist in a dissolution of alumina from the bauxite. It can then be filtered from the mixture after alumina is in solution.

If you could separate the alumina from that red mud, dry it and light it on fire. This is crucial as that step removes any extra moisture or impurity in it making alumina 100% pure. This Alumina is smelted, and by that we mean it gets so hot that it literally becomes aluminum metal. This process is really useful since it helps us to attain malleable aluminum which we can mold further to any of the products that we like.
