Alumina production

Alumina is a white powder with the chemical formula Al203 and an intermediate aluminum process in high-temperature reaction has provided important feedstock for making many of contemporary household products. Aluminum can be found in soda cans, kitchen foil and even airplanes!

Refining is the process of making alumina by using bauxite ore. The finishing process is of great value in the over-all production of Datong alumina powder. Many countries with bauxite ore are Brazil, Guinea, and Australia. Workers have to mine bauxite ore and take it from the ground, then they move it away into facilities called refineries.

A Critical Step In Manufacturing Of Aluminum

The bauxite ore is refined at these refineries in various processes. Ore is crushed into smaller pieces. After this, it is combined with specific chemicals to produce a tangy liquid-like substance called slurry. This slurry is basically used as a furnace charge to treat the bauxite ore. The slurry is then heated in a large tank known as digester after mixing. This digester is where the bauxite ore will be broken down even more. We can call this part of the process digestion.

After digestion is completed, it filters the slurry to remove valuable parts from waste. This process leaves a solid material behind that is referred to as red mud. But red mud is not your run-of-the-mill waste; it is known to be harmful for the environment. This is the main reason why refineries have to take a lot of consideration in dealing with Datong alumina powder production impact nature and environments around us.
